I first stepped on to a yoga mat when I was 10 years old, but my love for yoga asana and philosophy really blossomed in 2016. I tell you this because often we think of our life journey and study of a practice to be quite linear, when really it can be a completely non-linear path. I believe it is the guides that appear to us that show us where our opportunities for love, self discovery and personal growth reside — I am honored to walk that path with you.
I began to study Ayurveda as a means to come back to place of ease. I was wearing the “badge of busy” a bit too proudly at my corporate job and I started to feel like life had more control of me than I had of it. During that time, I resorted to a new norm: coffee to wake me up in the morning and the occasional beer at night to calm me down. Ayurveda brought me a new sense of energy and joy and guided me back to an innate understanding of balance — I feel healthier than I did when I was playing sports in high school. I know that this privilege is available to you too!
Using the ancient sciences of Ayurveda, Yoga Asana and Meditation, I work with others to remember the importance of self compassion and self care. Ease and joy are your birthrights and the journey you take to get there is unique to you.
In a world that demands that we continue to go when life gets us down, I have been privileged to work with others that remind me it is okay to take a break. I look forward to meeting you where you are at and remind you that you deserve a break too!
When working with me, you can think of me as more of a guide than an expert. Although I may have more experience with Ayurveda, Yoga Asana, and Meditation than you. I do not have the same understanding of your uniqueness the way that you do — after all, I did not spend every waking moment with you!
My support style can be thought as one part advocate, one part cheerleader, and one part guide with sprinklings of humor, compassion and empathy. I will be there to support you when times get tough and congratulate you on your successes. More importantly, I will affirm the decisions you feel are right for you.
